Resolved Question: 17 year old girl flying alone?

I'm flying from MSP (Minneapolis, MN) to SLC (Salt Lake City, UT) to help my aunt after she has her baby. Just wondering, since nonstop tickets are more expensive would it be safe to have a 1 stop flight? it'd be about an hour layover in Denver...tickets are WAY cheaper that way.
